The Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) Center for Loss and Hope will offer a free class on “Dealing with Fatigue and Lack of Energy during Grief” Wednesday, July 8 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. at the Hospice of VNS Justin T. Rogers Care Center located at 3358 Ridgewood Road in Fairlawn. The same class will also be offered on Monday, July 6 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Buckeye Room at Rose Lane Health Center located at 5425 High Mill Ave. N.W. in Massillon.

Audits for the years of 2005 and 2006 have been released by the office of Auditor of State, Mary Taylor. The auditor’s report indicates that Lakemore village officials failed to improve financial oversight.

Officers were called to a Fulton Dr business for a fight in progress on June 29. On scene, the officers observed three males yelling and screaming at each other, causing a disturbance to the patrons. Through statements it was found that the three were in a physical altercation. All three were cited for disorderly conduct. All three denied medical treatment and to press charges.

It is time to Rock the Docks again in Springfield and Lakemore. The village and township have once again combined their efforts to host this very unique event which begins on July 10 and runs through July 12. Last year’s event drew over 50,000 rockin’ people from many communities and a variety of states.
